Giannis Parissis and Maria Koutseri, his wife, were born and raised in Skiathos. Parissis, a restless spirit yet of balanced presence, started as a sailor. Over the years, he got involved in various business projects and at some point, he bought an abandoned vincyard in Xanemos.
He acquired other plots of land and planted vines. He met Maria and since then they learn, plan and think together about wine.
“I like working with the land near the sea, taking care of our sun-kissed vines; among them I feel I am in a company of old and new friends. In 2019, Parissis Winery was built on our property in Profitis Ilias. Up here, the location itself is an inspiration. The wines are worthy of their protagonistic role and we, the people of the Winery, myself (winemaker), Maria Koutseri (manager) and our kids, carry on filled with Skiathos expectations and challenges.
